Electoral Roll

The Electoral Roll is a list of names and addresses of every person who can vote at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM).

Every six years, a completely new Roll is prepared in the two months leading up to the date of the APCM. For subsequent years the list is updated and amended, with new names being added and some taken off; for example people moving away from the area.

Who can be on the Electoral Roll?

To be on the Electoral Roll you should be baptised and at least 16 years old. You should either live in the parish or have worshipped at the church regularly for at least six months. You should be a member of the Church of England or certain other churches, on condition that they subscribe to the doctrine of the Holy Trinity.

Why should I consider this?

It is hoped that new members of the congregation and those who have reached the age of 16 in the last year will wish to express their commitment to our church by being on the Electoral Roll.

Application forms

To apply for your name to be added to the Electoral Roll you will need to complete a form, copies of which are available at the back of the church. Alternatively, you can print off the form via the ‘download’ button at the bottom of this page; the completed details will need to be signed and dated, and then passed to a church officer.

For further details please speak to a church officer or email electoralroll@stmarywithstalban.org
